Theme & stuctured plan

Planning, which has been the most challenging and tough as it requires us to utilize our utmost skill of communication, organising and teamwork in order to successfully complete our common goal. It is the initial pace for our objective to be achieved and the planning should be perfect where it is able to give a positive impact or preferably a change which is very necessary to save our Mother Earth as environmental issues have been identified as the biggest threat to the Earth. At the same time, planning drives us to work harder and it assists us to truly understand our goal and what should be done in order to achieve it.

Activity selection

  • We have planned two prime event which are interview and talk, which shall be conducted in the middle of December 2021. Both the events are anticipating participants from all walks of society and from all stages of ages.

  • We have approached environmental practitioners from several established law firms who practise ADR to enlighten us regarding the process of ADR and How implementing ADR is able to ease the settlement of environmental disputes. We believe that the advocate and solicitors have more exposure in the ADR practise in various fields where we are able to understand the nature of ADR and the advantage of choosing it. It is an undeniable fact that ADR is being the public favourite compared to litigation. We believe we could use this opportunity to know in depth the nature of ADR and the importance of implementing it to tackle environmental problems.

  • On the other hand, in order to identify the dispute, we need an environmental activist who deals with the dispute on a daily basis as their sharing will enable us to identify the environmental complication that we are currently facing and problems that we might face in future. In addition, environmental activists are needed in Malaysia in order to encourage the youth to be more involved in the field to help to preserve and save our Mother Earth. By sharing their experience and initiative to our environment, I believe we can encourage more people, specifically youngsters, to be more involved in taking care of our environment and create awareness about the importance of having this environment protected.

  • Lastly, it would be a privilege to include our UUM lecturer who is very knowledgeable and informed regarding environmental matters. It is an honour for us to have multiple lecturers who are well - informed regarding the environmental issue who will be able to share their point of view in overcoming the issues. I believe their research and proposal that shall be shared in the talk shall bring a lot of new insights to the participants and will be an eye-opening session for most of us.

As for Syirah and Sarah, they have been allocated with the task of developing and managing the website for the program while for Maggie and Harvin, we are given the task of finding information and doing some research for the program. There were some challenges at each task, such as time constraints and still getting familiarise to use the website but with the help of each other, we all managed to solve them together.
