The environmental problem is being a threat to our mother nature and Most of us are not aware of the impact that might bring into our lives. According to the report published by The New Strait Times, One of the common concerns that is related to the environment in a neighborhood is illegal dumpsites. Some irresponsible residence(s) thrown rubbish as such in residential areas which can cause smell pollution and unpleasant sight for the public. That rubbish includes clothes, plastic bags, domestic waste and such. With such action, there will be a number of effects where it can cause serious public health concern. This problem still occurs despite multiple warnings given by the City Council authorities. Thus, it is the time for us to take action and bring a real solution for those problems by implementing the ADR method.

On the other hand, according to a news reported by the Star, it comes to our knowledge that Ipoh Padang, which serves as a landmark for Ipoh, faced an environmental issue which is deforestation for construction sectors. A development project was planned near Ipoh Padang where they intended to damage the field structure in order to build a building. a group of environmental activists conducted a friendly protest and were able to bring the development project to a stop. But, the question arises here; Do we need to conduct a protest in order to bring a solution? Is there a solution able to bring a stop to the other environmental problems that are occurring nearby that place? These are the solid questions that we are putting forward for you to ponder.

Next, we would like to bring some light on an issue that is not only affecting people’s lives but an activity that is changing the surface of Earth. It is an undeniable fact that Nature is the best gift that Earth has given to us. Hence, it should be our responsibility to preserve it. Instead, some irresponsible individuals decided to exploit the gift to satisfy their greedy needs. One of the important industries in Ipoh, Perak is the quarrying industry as Ipoh reaches Limestone Mountain where the extraction of the stone occurs to produce materials such as marble, granite and cement. Due to this industry, the extraction of mountains was done through blasting and so many other factors are being affected. It is a very serious environmental problem where it causes a huge impact on family health and public safety. This is one of the fundamental environmental issues that need to be addressed in order to save our mother nature and to avoid more damage to this Earth.

It is an undeniable fact that there are multiple initiatives that have been taken in order to overcome various and diverse environmental problems not only by our government but also other Non - Governmental Organisation (NGOs). One of the steps of the initiative was Go Green that has been proposed by the Government in order to reduce the usage of plastic usage and to implement recycling habits. Nevertheless, in order to achieve the expected result, we require Malaysians to practice proper environmental ethics. As we know, environmental issues have been a common issue among us. This is due to certain individuals who do not have proper ethics while considering industrial and economic activities. It is important to take note that all of us must practice a proper environmental ethic which does not affect the environment to maintain a cleaner and healthier environment.

Each of us is responsible to conserve and preserve the environment. Our mother earth is equally important to us because without it, we have nothing. For example, trees help to absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) and in return, it releases oxygen (O2) which as a human being is much needed by all of us. As mentioned earlier, The earth faces problems such as pollution, global warming, waste disposal, and loss of biodiversity. The earth will be in a better place if we play our role to balance the ecosystem rather than destroying it by doing prohibited or illegal activities such as illegal logging, deforestation, disposal of oil into the river, open burning and many more. These environmental problems pose an abundant amount of risk to the health of humans and animals. There needs to be a solution to all these problems and that is by informing others, so that way everyone can make the environment a better place. Therefore, our survey and research might bring us some real solutions for the threat that is being posed to our environment as well as our Mother Nature.
